NOW FOR THE PRIZE REVEAL!
I won this fabulous dress from the give away at dollhouseminiaturesbyfelma.blogspot.com/!
I know. Gorgeous right? I was so excited I said, " ok this is going in my bridal shop. Then, I thought wait, it could go into my boutique, now I am wondering, even though it is a little more modern, if I should put it in my Victorian seamstress' at-home sewing room. She is a little before her time. LOL I am sure it will tell me where it wants to go when it gets here. Oh, for joy, for joy!
Thanks So Much Felma!!

CAT-A-WHAT?
When I first saw this in the thrift store, I saw cute little kitty cats. Then I was horrified as I realized this was some kind of sadistic game. Can you believe anyone would have fun playing this? It is played by catapulting the little kitties through the air aimed at a target. I liked the kitties. so I decided to buy and rescue them.
The catapult will be dismantled and used for parts. (sorry the pics are so dark. Still haven't learned to send Print Shopped pictures to Blogger once I edit them)
Don't worry....they have all been adopted! |
Congrats Grandmommy, the dress is wonderful!
ReplyDeletethe cat catapult is pretty orrible, I'm happy you rescued those lovely kittens.
Hi Billa!
DeleteThanks! The kitties are doing fine now!
Hi Grandmommy,
ReplyDeleteOooh Lovely dress!!! And I have to agree that the catapult is sadistic, so glad you have a nice doll man to adopt those poor kitties ;-) Have yourself a blessed weekend!
Teresa
sugar, spice and whatever's nice
Hey Teresa!
DeleteIsn't it pretty? Grandpa loves animals.
Hoping you have a remarkably good weekend!
Beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteAlso an excellent supply of very relaxed cats. You couldn't have NOT rescued them.
Hi there Smaller Places!
DeleteBeautiful it is! I think I need to get them some toys since their arms are outstretched.
Congratulations on winning the Beautiful dress! Now I want to see where you put it! And those kitties sure did need to be rescued!!! I am so glad you found them and saved them! They really are cute!
ReplyDeleteHello Daydreamer!
DeleteThanks! I promise I will show where I put it. They all look like they want their bellies rubbed.
Poor kitties! Where's PETA when you need them? That is one fancy dress.
ReplyDeleteHey Muff,
DeleteSo true! I have never seen anything like this before.
Felma is good at what she does!
Dear Grandmommy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice dress !! I'm glad that a cat a pult isn't allowed in our countrie.
Hugs Dorien
Hi Dorien Litjes!
DeleteYes the dress is lovely. The cat-a-pult was made in China. I could be anywhere in the world by now. :-(
Great win! Enjoy! Oh and that game - what shoulg it teach anyone...??? Not seen such a game over here either. Good you rescued kittens! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Hello The Old Maid!
DeleteThanks I will enjoy. I cant wait to see it up close! I had never seen this game before either!
Hi grandmommy! Congratulations on winning that gorgeous dress of Felma, enjoy :D! She creates wonderful ladies fashion, I'm also one of the lucky ladies, who won once a wonderful dress of Felma ;)!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the catapult......awful 'game', I've never seen it before! But I'm so glad that you've rescued these little kittens!
Hugs, Ilona
Hello Ilona my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Wow...we are two lucky ladies huh? :-) I don't even want to call it a game. I was shocked! But, cute kittens came out of it.
Who on earth dreams up these games? If it had little babies being catapulted across the room there would be a national outcry. Makes me wonder about the mentality of these toy manufacturers.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think the beautiful dress would look gorgeous, centre stage in the Bridal shop. It's gorgeous =0)
Hiya Pepper!
DeleteWhen I realized what it was, I got a big lump in my throat. I couldn't wait to get home and depackage them. Later I was thinking I hope the cashier didn't notice or think wanted to toss kitties around!
I was looking for a special gown for the bridal shop. The shop is all black and white. I will have to see how this looks in it.
Congratulations to the lucky winner.
ReplyDeleteHey there Fabiola!
DeleteThanks. Can't wait to see it!
Congrats on winning this beautiful price from Felma, I'm curious to see which of your scenes will be the lucky winner to get it. And you've done a good job with the rescue of these kitties. How sick in the brain must someone be to think of something like that?
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Birgit
HI there Birgit,
DeleteThanks! Who knows I may end up someplace totally different from what I had in mind! LOL
I wanted to cry. I don't know if it was for someone so cruel to think of a game like that or just seeing the "game" itself.
Hello from Spain: congratulations. Fabulous dress. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteHola Marta!
DeleteThanks. It is so pretty!
Gorgeous, gorgeous dress.....lucky you!
ReplyDeleteAll the best
Vivian
Hi Vivian!
DeleteIt really is! I feel pretty lucky!
Poor kitties! Great gift I am sure you will find the right place for it.
ReplyDeleteHi Janice!
DeleteThe dress is gorgeous! Cant wait to see it up close. The kitties are so cute!
Hello Grandmommy,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your prize. Felma is an amazing artist and her gown are lovely. Good for you rescuing those poor cats...catapult indeed...what has the world come to?
Big hug,
Giac
Hi Giac myfriend
DeleteI don't know how I made it all of these years without knowing about her. I just found her blog a few months ago. What a sweetheart with such a positive spirit!
A child who enjoys harming animals is a precursor for someone who will harm humans without conscious. Lack of empathy. These were not real kitties granted, but the idea seems sadistic in nature.
Congratulations for your wonderful win! The dress is gorgeous like all Felma's gowns. I am the proud owner of two. One was displayed, inside a box I made specially for it, at a museum show. Felma is one of my favorite friends on the blogs. I admire not only her work but also her attitude towards life. A wonderful example of how to enjoy everything life gives you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a horrid game catapulting kittens.... I am glad you rescued them.
Hugs, Drora
H there Drora!
DeleteFirst did I ever tell you my mother's name was Dora? I think of her every time I see your name. :-)
I agree with you concerning Felma. I want to be just like her when I grow up...if I decide to grow up. lol Lucky you to have TWO of her handicrafts. Was the one in the museum display a few months ago? I really enjoyed that.
The kitties are doing fine and getting lots of love.
The dress is wonderful I hope you find a perfect place to display it!. Wow that "game" is terrible you can certainly find some atrocious stuff at the thrift stores but I think the kitties have a new purpose!
ReplyDeleteHi there Jane Smith!
ReplyDeleteIf the dress does not fit in anything I already have I will have to make something specially for it.
I would love to buy the company out so I can save all of the little kitties.
Hi Grandmommy! A Stupid game, has made for Great Mini Animal rescue! I love the shot with the handsome guy playing with the traumatized kitties, even so they still look a bit dazed by their good fortune.
ReplyDeleteYour bridal gown is sumptuous, and will make a wonderful display in your Bridal Shop. Will you also be featuring bridesmaid dresses in your shop or will be strictly for the bride?
elizabeth
Hey there Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes! I thought the same thing. Grandpa will take great care of them.
When the dress comes...which I hope is soon...I can't take it. lol I will share the locations so everyone can see why it does or does not work.
What a beautiful prize. The dress is stunning.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning that lovely dress!
ReplyDeleteGlad to read that you rescued those kitties from cruelty; I'd report that manufacturer to PETA - serve them right.
Ha! I laughed out lout when I saw that they'd all been adopted. For pieces of a cheap toy, those cats have a lot of details painted on them, what a great find!
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are lovely, great rescue!!
