HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Yes, this is a potato chip, Cool huh? (I ate it! LOL) |
Black History Minis!
Some of you may remember some of these pictures from two years ago on Vansdolltreasures. I am still as enchanted with these real life minis as much as I was when I shared them with her. I didn't post them on my blog then, so I will do it this year in honor of Black History Month. There were even more this year. It was so hard to pick! These are the ones I decided on.
See how many you can identify before looking at the names. If you don't know the people they are portraying...why not google them!
Next month, I will do the same for Women's History month. Please stop by and support Eunique Jones at Eunique's Photography for more cuteness! I am trying to decide which product I will purchase.
Wouldn't these be cute in mini scale dolls?
Especially check out, the lead-in video of girls reciting Maya Angelou!! SO CUTE!
(can you name the sororities and fraternities?)
And last but not least...
LOL Grandmommy, the potato chip, you could have knocked me out with a feather!
ReplyDeleteThe kids are so cute, I love these, I was only able to get Malcom X, Dr King and Bob Marley, but I should at least have recognized Mohamed Ali and Frederick Douglas, too!
Kisses Billa
Hey there Billa!
DeleteThat chip was pretty tasty! lol Yes, some of them I went...Duh...after I didn't guess them correctly!
Hello from Spain: lovely and great chip.. Children are always the joy of the world. They represent the future. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteThe chip was good to eat too! lol Yes, Marta you are so right. They are.
DeleteMe han encantado esas fotos.
ReplyDeleteEstoy tan contenta de que ellos hayan disfrutado!
DeleteI love the photos! I would add Amelia Robinson (she is portrayed in " Selma."), a brave woman who marched in Selma and is still kicking at 91. I also would add Hulan Jack, the first African American elected to office in NYC in the 1950s.
ReplyDeleteOops, Amelia Robinson is 103, not 91.
DeleteAlso good candidates! Don't be surprised if she portrays them next!.
DeleteNice post!! I remember it from Vanessa's post, but it is so awesome, viewing again is still a pleasure. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteOh, I guessed several and missed a couple.
Hiya Georgia Girl,
DeleteYou are very welcome! So glad you enjoyed it. You are very astute! It still fun when you miss a few then see who they are.
Without peeking I could tell who 9 of them were supposed to be. I never ever would have guessed Kerry Washington. I don't watch Scandal and I wasn't seeing her as a black innovator, but I guess her lead and female role is innovative in this day and age.
ReplyDeleteHey there Muff!
DeleteYou are GOOD! I never watched Scandal either. Kerry is in entertainment and on probably the most watched show these days. I pretty much put her there because the little girl was cute and I didn't see Shonda Rhimes who created that show and several others.
So we are too late for the chip, huh......;O?!!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are really beautiful, children are the future :)!
Hugs, Ilona
Hi Ilona!
DeleteYes, too late! LOL It was pretty good. LOL And yes, out children are so precious.
opps OUR children are precious

ReplyDeleteSo amazing to see their faces as children.... yes, the future is the children!
Hi Daydreamer!
DeleteYou are so welcome. I just love looking at those sweet faces. Here's to the future of our children.
Thank you for posting this wonderful link, to educate is to bring change and to share love and pride makes all those around you feel love and pride.
ReplyDeleteRaising loved and supported children is the most important thing in this life to make our world a better place!
Hey there Jane Smith!!
DeleteYou have said a mouthful. I have nothing to add. You said it all.
Thank you very much for introducing me to this kind of photo art that is at the same time fun, interesting and educational... you always got me with inspirational quotes... ;O) And may the potatoe chip rest in piece... *teehee*
